360 Reach Bagless Hand Vacuum, SD12515
received this item from the Walmart Spark Review Program for no compensation - just an honest review. This is an interesting little vacuum – that definitely fills a bunch of niche areas left empty by the majority of upright vacuum cleaners on the market today – and does those jobs well. However – I can’t recommend this as any more than a secondary vacuum for those other jobs – which I will detail below – as it is not designed or manufactured to be your go to vacuum/sweeper for large rugs and large carpeted areas. Lets go into what you get first. The vacuum is a powerful little tool – boasting of cyclonic power – but is not HEPA rated. It does have 2 or 3 stages of filters, though, to release cleaner air from the vacuum exhaust. A built in crevice tool hides really securely and this vacuum will do great for general car cleaning. The vacuum has a 27’ power cord – long enough to reach most areas and plugs. The cord can either be wrapped around the vacuum or coiled up and fastened with an attached Velcro fastener. The dirt cup is a bit tough to release – but – it easy to dump once released from the vacuum. The manufacturer claims up to 12’ of reach using the pole/wand – but that includes you standing and having your arms outstretched to the maximum. A 4-5’ telescoping wand does a great job of allowing you to reach hard to get areas and it made of metal – so it will last a long time. A special 2 elbow fastener allows you to take most of the tools to reach awkward angles – like the underside/top of fan blades that accumulate lots of dust – as well as tops of cabinets. A hand shaped tool with a microfiber pad and fingers is optimal for cleaning fans, ceiling corners, and other delicate areas. The powered carpet cleaner with beater brush does a great job – but must connect directly to the vacuum – you cannot use the telescoping wand if you want the powered beater brush. This little tool is ideal for cleaning carpeted stairs though – as you don’t have to lug your 20-30 lb. upright vacuum around to do the job. Also it’d work great in flat car carpeting. A hard floor cleaner with vacuuming front edge also has an option to utilize either the microfiber cloth (that is washable and reusable) or supplied disposable swipes floor cleaners. It also did a great job getting into corners and you could really feel the suction up against the corners where the wall and floor meet. I much prefer vacuuming hard floors to using a broom – and this device supplants my old stick vacuum for hard floors. The whole unit packs into a nice nylon/polyester carrying/storage bag – smaller than your carryon suitcase. The person that I highly recommend this 360 Reach Bagless Hand Vacuum, SD12515 for is maybe the professional house cleaner or total neat freak that has to have a spotless home – as it does those special jobs listed above really great – you just can’t use it if you own a traditional home or apartment with a large carpeted room – since you’d have to bend over on your knees for a long time to try to do that. It does work great for small spills on carpet though. For most people – if your upright vacuum is sufficient for you and these small tasks – I’d skip on this vacuum.
